Where to Find the Best Books for Your Toddler

Children’s books can really get expensive when you buy them new. But did you know there are several places to find excellent books for our toddler at a fraction of the price? Read below to discover Where to Find the Best Books for Your Toddler.

1. Thrift Stores

Thrift stores like Goodwill and the Salvation Army often have used children’s books to purchase. Sometimes the collection is limited, but you never know when you will find a gem.

2. Facebook Market Place

Check out your local listings on Facebook! You can often find large collections being sold. The downside is you can’t pick and choose, but you can always donate or pass along what you don’t want or need.

3. Consignment Stores

One of my favorite places to shop for used children’s books is Once Upon a Child. You might be there to get kids clothes or baby goodies, but don’t forget to take a look at the books!

4. Used Book Stores

Another obvious place to search for kids books is in a used book store. Our local used book store is mostly for adults, but I was pleasantly surprised at the collection of books I found for Ronia on our recent trip.

5. Garage Sales

If you are feeling brave, check out your local garage sale listings. Books are cheaper than cheap at a garage sale. People even give them away for free!

6. Antique Stores

You might not think to look for kids books at an antique store, but we have found some wonderful books in the little nooks and crannies of local antique malls. Keep your eyes peeled!

7. The Library

The final place in my list of Where to Find the Best Books for Your Toddler is the library. Local libraries have all sorts of programs for kids and you can try out different books to find what your child likes best. Libraries also have occasional sales at which you can find children’s books for a steal of a deal.
