Letter Writing Essentials You Need to See on Etsy
One of my New Year’s resolutions was to send birthday cards. Honestly I’ve been sending most of them late, but they are at least getting there, which is a start. I chose this resolution, because I wanted to be a better pen pal. People love getting mail and it’s a more personal way to show others you care. Also, when I say letter writing essentials I might be using that term loosely. These things are mostly just for fun!
1. Personalized Stationary
The first thing you will need if you are going to start writing letters is personalized stationary. No need to go card-hunting last second at Dollar General if you have personalized cards. Stationary like this from @jojostudios is also unique and professional. I mean, who do you know that has their own non-work related stationary?
2. Wax Seal Stamp
Speaking of personalization and looking professional, there is nothing more classy than adding a wax seal to your letters. When I have the time I like to add a detail like thing. Again, it shows the care you took in sending the letter in the first place. It’s nice to get mail, but it’s extra nice to get mail with a wax seal. Sure it might be extra, but why not add a little flare to your outgoing mail?
3. Quill Set
Speaking of being a little extra, if you are going to go the extra mile with a wax seal stamp, then why not take it a step further and use a real writing quill? When I was a little girl I remember having a writing quill and thinking I was the coolest kid on the block. Am I the only one that feels amazing when they are writing with a quill? Just me? That’s okay.
4. Address Stamp
On the more practical side of things, save yourself some time writing letters by buying your very own address stamp. If you aren’y planning to move in the near future, an address stamp like this one by @StampByMeStudio is an excellent addition to your letter writing essentials.
5. An Address Book
The final item on my list of five Letter Writing Essentials You Need to See on Etsy is an address book. You need to have somewhere to keep track of addresses for your friends and family. Sure your phone is a good option, but what if it dies or stops working? It’s always good to have a hard-copy back up. This address book by @PleaseAndThanksCards is exactly the type of book you may need.
