How to Pack a Toddler Bag for Preschool

My daughter started preschool this week, and I am still in disbelief that she is old enough to go to school. Our preschool gave us a list of things to pack in her backpack, so I thought I would share how How to Pack a Toddler Bag for Preschool. This is a brand new journey for me, so I will be sure to share any updates.

1. Choose a Change of Clothes

Our daughter is potty trained, but accidents happen. I packed a little wet bag with a change of clothes, socks and underwear and even shoes. Just in case! Be sure to pack extra underwear or diapers for your little one.

2. Pack a Lunch & Snacks

A highlight of my mom life thus far is getting to pack a school lunch. I might change my mind later, but right now it’s so fun. I made a separate bag for her snacks, because they have a snack time before the lunch hour.

3. Label Everything

Our preschool sent out a note to parents that reminded us to label everything! Our daughter isn’t in too big a class, but sometimes kids own the same backpack or lunch box. Be sure to label the items that belong to your child, so they don’t get misplaced or switched.

4. Have a Folder for Paperwork

Something I chose to do to stay a little more organized was place a pink folder in my daughters bag for her school paperwork. So often school papers get crushed in transit or lost. This folder gives us a place to keep things safe.

5. Bring a Reusable Water Bottle

Our school also requires you pack a reusable water bottle, so I labeled one of ours and designated it for school use.
