How to Decorate the Playhouse for Christmas

Decorating the playhouse for each season is one of my new favorite things. I love looking out into the backyard and seeing Ronia’s little mini home all cozy for the holiday. She’s also getting quite a kick out of her decorations. Read below to discover How to Decorate the Playhouse for Christmas.

1. Hang some twinkle lights

We got our twinkle lights on sale at JoAnn’s Fabric. That store usually has some pretty cute decor, but I always forget about it. Anyway, we hung the lights around the top of her house and secured them with tiny nails. The lights themselves are battery powered, so I made sure to secure the battery packs under the eve with command tape.

2. Add a mini tree

I have had this mini tree since my college days. It moves around our house every Christmas, but this year it found its home outdoors. The original lights on the tree plug in, so I just got some more battery powered twinkle lights to make it sparkle.

3. Change the wreath

Ronia picked out her little door wreath at Hobby Lobby. They always have so many options and everything is on sale most of the time. How do they get away with everything being on sale all the time?

4. Add a bit of garland

We had some spare garland that I added above her front door. That’s the best thing about decorating the playhouse. You can just use bits and pieces of things you already have! Now I’m curious, what would you add to your playhouse decorations? Send me a message on Instagram with your ideas!
