The Best Foods at EPCOT’s Flower and Garden Festival 2023

We recently visited EPCOT for the first time and our trip happened to coincide with the Flower and Garden Festival. I could not have been more pleasantly surprise by this park. There was so much to do and see and eat. EPCOT might be our new favorite Disney park! Read our list of The Best Foods at EPCOT’s Flower and Garden Festival 2023 below.

Admittedly, this is a shorter list than I would have liked. I had three food items left on my bucket list that we didn’t get to try because we traveled with a toddler. If you know you know. Toddlers are unpredictable. Also walking around EPCOT is crazy exhausting.

1. Coconut Tres Leches from La Isla Fresca

One of the best things I had the privilege of eating at the Flower and Garden Festival was the Coconut Tres Leches cake from La Isla Fresca. This is a vanilla cake soaked in oat milk, almond milk and coconut milk that is topped with cream and toasted coconut. If you love coconut as much as I do than you will love this cake. Everyone in the family scored it a 10/10.

The cake is moist and not too sweet. It was just the ideal summer dessert if you ask me.

2. Croissant au Fromage de Chèvre, Herbes et Ail Rôtie from Fleur De Lys

Another 10/10 item at the Flower and Garden Festival was this croissant at Fleur De Lys. I have absolutely no idea how to pronounce the name, but oh boy was it delicious. I actually went back the next day with my toddler and bought it again. The croissant was crisp and buttery and the goat cheese filling was a delightful surprise. Again, everyone in the family loved this one and didn’t want to share. It was my favorite thing of the entire festival.

3. Tropical Breeze from La Isla Fresca

Another item we tried from La Isla Fresca was this non-alcoholic tropical breeze. I’m not a drinker, so I was looking for something fun that didn’t have alcohol and I was very pleased by this drink. It was a toasty day at EPCOT, maybe in the mid 80s and this drink was exactly what I needed. The combination of grapefruit, lemonade and simple syrup was so refreshing. I need to figure out how to make it at home, because I could drink this every day.

4. Beef Tenderloin Tips from Northern Bloom

My husband tried this dish from Canada and thought it was really delicious. It wasn’t over salted or dry. He said it might taste even better if it wasn’t so hot outside, but otherwise he would highly recommend!

5. Chicken and Waffles from the Honey Bee-Stro

The Chicken and Waffles from the Honey Bee-Stro was quiet a welcomed surprise for me. The waffle was made of a honey sweet corn bread and the chicken was honey-brined and super crispy. Again, eating something warm on a hot day isn’t always a good decision, but this little chicken and waffle combo hit the spot. It was a little sweet, a little savory and a whole lot of YUM. Definitely sit to eat it though as it can get a little messy with the honey.

6. Sugar Cane Shrimp Skewer from La Isla Fresca

Another dish my husband tried on our little tour of EPCOT was the Sugar Cane Shrimp Skewer. He said it was probably his favorite dish from our trip to EPCOT. The shrimp was light and delicious, but the rice was a little messy. Definitely sit down to savor.

Foods I Wish I Tried:

If you are going to EPCOT’s Flower and Garden Festival this year, be sure to try the foods above, but especially these below. I’ve heard some great things, but sadly did not get the opportunity to indulge. So if you could try them on our behalf we would greatly appreciate it! And be sure to wear your patient pants and say thank you. The staff is working hard to make things fresh for you and they deserve nothing but kindness.
