The Ultimate List of Autumn Books for Your Toddler

Originally I had planned on doing a super list of over 30 books for autumn, Halloween and Thanksgiving, but I decided to split that into three lists instead. Why? Because we have too many books. Yup, I said it. Ronia’s book collection might be getting out of hand. That being said, read below for my The Ultimate List of Autumn Books for Your Toddler.

Also, is it just me or are there not many quality fall books for little kids? Please drop me an email if you have recommendations!

The Ultimate List of Autumn Books for Your Toddler

1. You’re My Little Pumpkin Pie by Natalie Marshall

If you’ve read my pervious book blog posts, you know how much we love this series by Natalie Marshall. The affirmations in the book are so sweet!

2. Five Little Pumpkins by Tiger Tales & Ben Mantle

This book was a gift from Ronia’s grandma last year and it is certainly one of her favorites. It does sort of lean toward Halloween, but there is not trick or treating so I say it doesn’t count.

3. It’s Pumpkin Day, Mouse! by Laura Numeroff and Felicia Bond

It’s Pumpkin Day, Mouse is a simple book that’s easy to read before bedtime, but it’s so cute. We love all the Mouse books in this series.

4. Arthur Jumps into Fall by Marc Brown

I recently introduced Ronia to Arthur and it’s so sweet to listen to her say his name. I will say this book came in the mail via Amazon and it was man-handled on the way. It’s all bent out of shape, but we still love this story.

5. There’s a Unicorn in Your Book by Tom Fletcher

I know what you are thinking. This isn’t an autumn book, BUT it is the latest book in the series by Tom Fletcher. Ronia loves these interactive books and knows them by heart.

6. Fancy Nancy and the Fall Foliage

Fancy Nancy is another book series we love. She explains definitions of bigger words in a simple way and always dresses in style.

7. Autumn in the Forest by Rusty Finch

Of all the books in The Ultimate List of Autumn Books for Your Toddler, this one is the most Autumn. It’s also lift-a-flap, which is fun and interactive for your toddler.

8. Peppa’s Pumpkin Day by Golden Books

We haven’t seen the Peppa TV show, but Ronia met the “real” Peppa at the aquarium and now she’s obsessed. This book is a good introduction to a trip the pumpkin patch with your toddler.

9. Biscuit Visits the Pumpkin Patch by Alysa Satin Capucilli

Of all the books on the list, this one is my least favorite, but Ronia loves it. It is a bit simple for me to want to read it over and over again, but we sacrifice for our kids, right?

10. The Berenstain Bears: Harvest Festival by Mike Berenstain

Sometimes the Berenstain Bear books have too many words to keep my toddler’s attention, so I need to skip a few sentences. However, this series is a classic so I had to include it in the list.

11. Maple by Lori Nichols

Maple is really a book for the whole year, but it talks about the changing seasons, which is prevalent this time of year. It’s also a great book to give to your kiddo if they are going to have a sibling soon.

12. Miss Maple’s Seeds by Eliza Wheeler

Miss Maple’s Seeds is another book that could be read year-round, but it talks about seeds being planted and harvest, which to me is very fall. The illustrations are also stunning.
